SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND ADOLESCENTS

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) will release a clinical report in the June issue of Pediatrics titled, "Sexual Orientation and Adolescents."  The report reflects the growing understanding of youth of differing sexual orientations. Academy members may hear about this report in the media, or be questioned by their patients.  AAP Communications will send out a press release on the  report  -- a revision of the 1993 AAP policy statement titled, "Homosexuality and Adolescence" -- on Friday, May 28th.  The report is embargoed for Monday, June 7.
