National Pediatric Practice Managers Association (“Virtual” NPPMA)

The American Academy of Pediatrics has formed a “virtual” NPPMA for office managers. There are currently 150 members and it's growing daily. If not already a member, your office manager may like to join.

How to Join:

Here are the ways that the office managers in your chapter can join the AAP Section on Administration and Practice Management (SOAPM) "virtual" NPPMA:

1. EXISTING SOAPM MEMBERS in good standing can sign up their office managers free of charge by sending Bob Sebring an email message bsebring@aap.org and provide the pediatrician's name and the office manager's name and e-mail address.

2. OFFICE MANAGERS CAN ASK THEIR AAP PEDIATRICIAN SUPERVISOR (AAP Fellow) to join the SOAPM for $25 a year.

3. OFFICE MANAGERS CAN JOIN SOAPM as an Affiliate Member for $60 a year.

4. In consultation with your AAP Pediatrician Member, OFFICE MANAGERS CAN JOIN SOAPM's OFFICE MANAGERS e-mail list ON A FREE 30-DAY TRIAL BASIS.

If, after the 30-day trial offer and the AAP pediatrician member has not joined SOAPM or the office manager has not joined SOAPM as an Affiliate Member, the office manager will be removed from SOAPM's office managers e-mail list.

To reiterate, the "virtual" National Pediatric Practice Managers Association is not meant to compete with anything you are doing locally, rather SOAPM hopes it will assist and complement your work. In fact, you could use the NPPMA to share information nationally about what you are doing in your chapter or PMA.
